I came across BroadbandChecker and able to identify which BT exchange my landline is connected to. Imediately I know this is not the nearest exchange from my house :(
It also accurately check which broadband package is available for you.
Update: 28/4: I tested my speed using speedtest.net and I have a moderate line for my 8mbps Tiscali plan.
