Great Ikea hack for console wheel

I was looking for a good solution to mount a console wheel that I intend to buy. GameRacer Pro cost around £290 without the wheel. It is good if I got the money to burn. Eventually budget has landed me to this Ikea Hack where the whole configuration set cost less than £60. It does require to drill a hold and several screws to the paddle.

Update: I also came across this wheelstandpro foldable support, cost £85 delivered

The Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition

I can't remember where to begin, probably back in 1990 when I first got my PC, a 386/486 with a turbo button on it. Monkey Island was my first ever adventure game played. This summer Lucasarts will release special edition for it, I'm glad they didn't release this as a 3D game. This release will be just in time to patch the lost of my childhood music pop icon, MJ.

Apparently there are more progress than just a Special Edition. The guy at Telltale will release Tales of Monkey Island, 3D episodic games. I can't wait to play it soon.

Finally ordered my Wii Fit

It is like the hottest commodities in gaming industry, Wii Fit is always out of stock whenever it is available. I'd spent almost 1 month monitoring the stock at various online stores and finally I beat the rest on the latest Toys R Us stock and got myself one. Hurray.

And I'm waiting for Wii Fit accessories after ordered it from Woolworth. Even the accessories are not available on the spot.

Mario Kart from Ebay

After a short chat with Johny, I decided to buy Mario Kart with Wheel. Unfortunately it is out of stock in most game store, I bid it from ebay for £41.12, cheapest in after spending 20 minutes trying grab a final second deal.

This is the most expensive game I ever bought, so hopefully it worth my £££. :)

Update 10/6: Got my Mario Kart and extra Original Wheel from Game.co.uk. I'm ready to be vs :)

Relive my first PC adventure game

Back in 1990 before my dad bought me a Pentium 236 PC, I told him it is purely for playing game programming and to create an accounting software for his business (never materialize :p). The first game I bought from Imbi Plaza was Lucasfilm's Monkey Island (MI). I was a point-and-click game with EGA color. It is the classic adventure game I ever played.

Back in September, I found a nice MI animated flash did by someone in Germany. If you are an old school adventure gamer, you will like this one as it relive your nostalgia. It last for 2 minutes and summarize the game that took me 1 month to complete. Mind you, back then there is no easter egg, hint or walkthough offered in Internet.
